Top Ten Luxury Designer Cutlery Sets –

Knives, forks and spoons are objects that pretty much everyone uses everyday. Yet, like me, you probably don’t think much about the design of the utensils that you are using. The food we eat and the crockery we use to eat off are usually considered far more important than the utensils we use to eat with. Considering that designer cutlery sets are for the most part very affordable, and offer the chance to surprise and delight dinner guests, it is unfortunate that cutlery is not given as much attention as it deserves. For me it would make sense to spend more time and effort choosing a cutlery set than the crockery or napery because of the amount of interaction we have with cutlery when we eat.

All bar one of the cutlery sets I have listed are what I would consider to be affordable. The one set that isn’t so affordable is the fabulous Clive Christian designed, Arthur Price all gold Empire cutlery set which retails for £11350.00. If you have that sort of money to spend on cutlery then the Clive Christian cutlery set is for you. If you are after something a bit more affordable yet still totally amazing, then you have come to the right place. It’s time to ditch the dodgy mismatched cutlery so many people use and improve the eating experience with a fantastic designer cutlery set.

Alessi KnifeForkSpoon Cutlery Set

cutlery alessi 186x300 Top Ten Luxury Designer Cutlery Sets designrated.comFollowing the typical minimalist approach that features in all Jasper Morrison’s work, this design is an attempt to reduce the “cutlery-object” to its barest essence, its purest and most customary form and what might tentatively be called its definitive form, and deliberately stripped of all stylistic value and – perhaps precisely because of this – clearly recognisable as Morrison’s work.

Cutlery set composed of six table spoons, six table forks, six table knives monobloc, six coffee spoons in 18/10 stainless steel mirror polished.

Robert Welch Bud Bright Cutlery Set

cutler robert welch 300x297 Top Ten Luxury Designer Cutlery Sets designrated.comAs the name suggests Bud brings the outdoors inside to your table; but what distinguishes Bud from other slender-handled designs, is the sheer organic beauty of the stem-like handle which, as it tapers, gently curves into the palm of the hand giving a very comfortable grip. The eye is drawn to a deep v-ridge in the metal, as though the metal has burst open and, from this natural extension, the tines of the fork, the bowl of the spoon and blade of the knife appear like newly formed buds.
